--------------------------------------------------------
Session 1: Shooters & Goalies
Shooters will learn to shoot and score with proper mechanics. We will cover time & room shots, shooting on the run, and wrist shots so that shooters have the tools to score in every situation. For our more advanced shooters, we will introduce the concept of how to increase our scoring % by shooting deceptively.
Goalies will learn the fundamentals of arc play & angles, proper stance, stepping to & saving the ball, properly sliding pipe-to-pipe, and how to defend shots taken near the crease. Following instruction and positional drills, our goalies will see live shots from our shooters (Note: proper care will be taken to protect our goalies, including the use of tennis balls for all shots taken inside of 12 yds).

Session 2: Dodgers & Defenders

Dodgers will learn a pragmatic approach to breaking down and beating their defender. We will cover the fundamentals of stick protection and angle of approach, then introduce which dodges work effectively for the strong-handed and weak-handed sides of the field. All of our dodgers will get tons of live dodging repetitions against defenders.
Defenders will learn the fundamentals of on-ball defending. Instruction will include proper stance, stick position, stick checks (slap, lift, wrap, over-the-head ding-dong), footwork, and angle of approach. For our advanced players, we’ll introduce how to defend dodges from behind the net using v-holds and “closing the gate” to force turnovers.

*Players will be split by age so they aren't competing against older players, and we will have multiple Coyotes coaches at each session to provide instruction for every player, from beginner to advanced
